OpenAI experiments with physical controls for coding agents

OpenAI is experimenting with a more physical interface for AI coding agents, according to The Decoder. The report describes a WorkLouder Codex Micro device with programmable buttons, a rotary knob, and colored LEDs.

The idea is to let developers steer agents through tactile controls instead of typing every command. That could make agent supervision faster for repeated actions such as approving steps, switching modes, or adjusting behavior.
