Cyera has agreed to acquire Oasis Security for $1 billion in a deal tied to the growing security risks around AI agents.
TechCrunch reports that the acquisition is Cyera’s third this year. Oasis focuses on protecting non-human identities, a category that includes service accounts, automation credentials, and the kinds of access tokens agents may use to act across business systems.
The timing is notable because agent adoption increases the number of software actors that can read data, call tools, and trigger workflows. If those identities are poorly governed, a compromised credential can become a path through many connected services.
The deal reflects a broader shift in enterprise security spending. Companies are not only buying AI tools; they are buying controls for the new access patterns those tools create. For Cyera, Oasis adds identity coverage to a data-security business at a moment when agent permissions are becoming a board-level concern.
