Anthropic extends free Fable 5 access as model pricing pressure rises

Anthropic is extending free Claude Fable 5 access for subscribers through July 19, 2026, after the model had been expected to move to pay-per-use. Subscribers can use up to half of their weekly limit for Fable 5 during the extension.
