Wistron has opened its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Fort Worth, Texas, to produce advanced NVIDIA AI systems. The 324,000-square-foot plant is starting with manufacturing cells for the NVIDIA GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra Superchip and the coming NVIDIA Vera Rubin Superchip.
NVIDIA says the facility is expected to scale this year to tens of thousands of boards per month. The project represents a $700 million advanced manufacturing commitment and has created more than 500 jobs, with plans to expand to 1,000 by the end of the year.
The plant matters because AI infrastructure is increasingly a supply-chain and manufacturing story, not just a model-design story. Training and serving frontier AI systems requires enormous numbers of high-end boards, servers, networking components, and skilled workers who can build and test them at volume.
Wistron also used NVIDIA tools to design and simulate the facility before construction, including a digital twin built with Omniverse-related technologies and frontier models. The Fort Worth opening supports NVIDIA’s broader pledge to manufacture up to $500 billion in advanced AI platforms in the United States.
