Apple’s next Siri update appears to move the assistant closer to the kind of conversational, context-aware helper users have expected from modern AI tools. WIRED’s hands-on says the rebuilt assistant is more present across the iPhone and more useful in everyday interactions.
The change matters because Apple has been under pressure to prove that its on-device and platform-level AI strategy can match the speed of competing assistants. A stronger Siri would also give developers and users a clearer reason to treat Apple Intelligence as a daily workflow layer rather than a set of isolated features.
