Sakana AI has added NVIDIA Nemotron to Fugu, its model orchestration system, The Decoder reports. The goal is to demonstrate how coordinated model ensembles can rival the performance of a single frontier model on some tasks.

The approach matters because many AI products are moving toward routing, ensembling, and specialized model combinations. Instead of assuming one model should handle everything, orchestrators can choose or combine models based on task demands.

If these systems become reliable, they could change how developers think about cost, latency, and capability: the best answer may come from a coordinated set of models rather than the largest standalone one.
