The system applies agentic retrieval and memory to a hard scientific planning problem: finding plausible ways to synthesize molecules. Rather than relying only on a model’s internal knowledge, it searches structured memories during planning.
The work shows how domain agents may become useful in scientific workflows. Combining LLMs with specialized memory can make them better collaborators for complex, multi-step reasoning.
