Octonous has added Agent Skills, giving individuals and teams a central place to maintain instructions and background information that AI agents need across multiple tasks. Each Skill is a named Markdown file that can hold writing rules, product details, research methods, operating procedures or review criteria.
The approach separates reusable knowledge from one-off prompts. A team can update a workspace-shared Skill once instead of asking every member to maintain their own copy. New Skills remain private by default, and users can create them manually, import them or add them from supported sources.
Skills can also be attached to Octonous automations. The automation controls when work runs, while the Skill supplies the instructions for how it should be done. A weekly newsletter task, for example, could reuse the same product positioning in scheduled runs and live conversations.
Mozilla.ai says Agent Skills are available to all Octonous users. They can be invoked in a conversation with a slash command, and Octonous follows the open Agent Skills format rather than introducing a proprietary document structure.
