Mistral and Nvidia are developing AI workflows that connect engineering simulation, model development and product design. The collaboration combines Mistral’s models and data-generation pipelines with Nvidia CUDA-X, Warp and Omniverse tools.

A central deliverable is a set of public benchmarks and open datasets for physics models. The companies also plan evaluations for agents working with computer-aided engineering and electronic-design-automation software, measuring technical correctness, completion of multistep tasks, execution time and compute cost.

The intended applications include aerospace, automotive and semiconductor design. Linking models to simulation could let an agent generate a design, test it against a physics model and revise it in a closed loop, while shared benchmarks would give engineering teams a consistent way to compare systems.

The announcement describes a development partnership rather than a finished product with general availability. It builds on the companies’ earlier model work, including Mistral NeMo and Mistral Large 4. Mistral says weights for Large 4 are planned for release at the end of October.
