Meta’s new AI agent app Muse has climbed to second place in the US iPhone App Store after accumulating more than 83,000 domestic iOS downloads, according to estimates from Sensor Tower. The early chart position shows interest, but the launch is smaller than several comparable consumer-app debuts.

Threads recorded more than 4.3 million US downloads on its first day, while the Meta AI app reached 108,000. ChatGPT passed half a million US installs in less than a week; Muse needed roughly twice as long to reach about 83,000. These comparisons do not include Muse usage on the web or through WhatsApp, and the app is currently limited to the United States.

Muse moved from fourth to second in Apple’s overall US chart over a day, suggesting momentum on iOS. Its Android version ranked 338th in Google Play’s Productivity category, although download estimates for that platform were not available.

Store rank and downloads are early adoption signals, not measures of sustained use or revenue. Muse’s position can also shift quickly as launch promotion fades. The data gives Meta its first public benchmark for the standalone agent app: visible consumer interest, paired with a slower start than the company’s largest recent launches.
