Meta is opening access to Muse Spark 1.1 through a new Meta Model API. The company says the updated model can plug into AI coding software and represents a step change from the first generation.
The move puts Meta more directly into the developer-model market, where coding performance, pricing, and integration support matter as much as general chat quality. API access also makes the model easier to test against existing coding workflows.
For developers, the launch adds another contender to a crowded field of coding models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, and open-source labs.
