Instinct is assigning dedicated email addresses to its AI assistants, allowing the agent to create and manage accounts without filling a user’s personal inbox. The mailbox can contact restaurants, ask businesses about availability, register for services and follow up on requests needed to complete a task.
Users can forward order confirmations or other messages to the agent. Instinct could then handle a return with customer support and bring back a label, or join a group thread to track decisions and deadlines. It checks with the owner when human input is required but otherwise continues the exchange autonomously. Early users have reserved addresses, while others can claim one through the company’s mail site.
The feature extends Instinct’s recent integrations with 1Password for existing logins and Stripe for purchases. A separate agent-owned address reduces credential sharing and inbox clutter, but it can also obscure the human customer from a business receiving the message. Users still need to decide which correspondence and account authority they are comfortable delegating.
