OpenAI has started making GPT-6 Astra available through ChatGPT Work and Codex for Pro, Enterprise and Business Premium subscribers. Plus and other Business users are expected to gain access in the coming days. Developers can also use the model through the OpenAI API, Microsoft Azure and Amazon Bedrock.
The higher-capability Astra Pro version is included for Pro, Business and Enterprise plans, but access is governed by subscription quotas. The $200 Pro plan includes 200 GPT-6 Pro messages each week, while the $100 Pro plan and Business Premium each include 50. Business Standard customers receive 15 messages a month. Some plans share those allowances with GPT-5.6 Sol Pro.
The standard Astra model also has tighter rolling limits than its predecessor. OpenAI estimates that Plus customers will receive between five and 45 Astra messages per five-hour window, compared with 10 to 100 for GPT-5.6 Sol. Actual capacity varies with context length, reasoning effort, tool use and caching.
Free and Go accounts do not receive GPT-6 Astra or GPT-5.6 Sol. The rollout therefore brings the new model to several enterprise and premium channels at once, but users evaluating it for daily work should account for both per-window limits and the separate weekly or monthly caps attached to Pro access.
