Google Photos is adding a new AI Video Remix tool for editing clips. The feature can apply cinematic relighting, change plain backgrounds, and add stylized effects to videos.
Consumer AI tools are moving quickly from text and image generation into lightweight video editing. Built-in features inside mainstream apps could bring generative video workflows to users who would not open a specialist editing tool.
The launch also shows Google continuing to fold AI capabilities into everyday products rather than keeping them limited to standalone experiments.
