Copilot CLI lets users describe a task in natural language and have the tool generate command-line workflows or scripts. GitHub frames the legal team’s use as a way to simplify repeated processes without requiring team members to write code by hand.
The post is also a reminder that AI coding tools are becoming broader automation tools inside companies. Their value depends less on replacing specialists and more on whether employees can safely turn familiar process knowledge into repeatable tools.
The limitation is governance: legal and compliance teams handle sensitive information, so any no-code automation still needs review, access control, and clear ownership before it becomes a durable part of daily work.
