GitHub has introduced a Copilot desktop app aimed at agent-native development workflows, InfoQ reports. The app is positioned as a control center where engineers can supervise parallel coding agents.

The move responds to a common problem with coding agents: they can speed up work, but also create context switching and review overhead. A dedicated interface may help developers coordinate multiple tasks without losing control.

The launch shows how AI coding products are moving from chat panels toward workflow orchestration for teams that want agents working in parallel.
