Google is tying Gemini more tightly to Samsung’s newest devices, using Galaxy Unpacked 2026 to show AI features across foldable phones, smartwatches, and upcoming intelligent eyewear. The company says the new Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Fold8, and Flip8 will include Gemini Intelligence features aimed at automating everyday tasks.
The integrations include support for actions across more than 40 popular apps, such as handling routine bookings or ordering tasks. Google also highlighted Gemini Notebook on the new foldables, where users can organize research and turn material into resources such as slide decks, quizzes, podcasts, or videos.
Gemini is also coming to the Galaxy Watch 9 for wrist-based access, and Google says Samsung’s coming eyewear will support hands-free gesture controls. Buyers of the new devices will get a six-month trial of Google AI Pro.
The announcement is less about a single new model than about distribution. Google is trying to make Gemini a device-level assistant that follows users across screens and form factors. The limits will be practical ones: app support, reliability, privacy expectations, and whether people trust proactive automation with real tasks.
