Firefox’s Smart Window beta can now suggest answers for online forms using information from tabs chosen by the user. Clicking into a form with at least four text fields reveals a “Fill from sources” option, which lists the pages Firefox plans to use and allows each one to be included or removed.
Mozilla’s example copies employment history from a portfolio or LinkedIn page into a job application. The first version supports text fields; dropdown menus and PDF forms are planned. Source-page data is shared with Google’s Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite to generate the suggestions, an important privacy detail for forms involving employment, health or financial information.
A second feature monitors webpages for changes such as sales or new job listings. Users create a task with the “/watch” command, describe the desired update and identify pages. Checks can run daily or weekly, but only while Firefox is open. Tasks pause after 60 days without a detected change and stop after 90 days.
Both functions are rolling out in the desktop Smart Window beta in the United States and Canada, with other countries expected later. The browser shows which tabs feed a form suggestion, but users should still verify every field before submission. Source pages may be outdated, and generated text can misinterpret dates, roles or other details even when the underlying tab is correct.
