Gidi Littwin, an inventor connected to Apple's FaceID work, is building a startup called Hemispheric that applies AI to brain-health diagnostics. The company aims to analyze brain scans for conditions such as depression, PTSD, and Parkinson's.
The ambition is to make brain-health assessment cheaper and easier, closer to the accessibility of a blood test. If successful, the work could push AI diagnostics further into neurological and mental-health care, where objective measurement remains difficult.
