The past fiscal year marked a shift from AI experimentation to operational deployment across enterprise customers. In a year-end review, the company describes “Frontier Transformation” as businesses embedding AI into workflows rather than using it only for isolated efficiency gains.

The post ties that shift to several Microsoft themes: Copilot in everyday work, Microsoft IQ for organizational data and knowledge, and Agent 365 as a trust and observability layer for AI agents. The common thread is that companies need systems to manage, govern, secure, and measure AI across business processes.

That framing is unsurprising from Microsoft, but it reflects a real enterprise concern. As AI tools move from pilots to production, the difficult questions become access control, reliability, return on investment, and how agents behave across changing workflows.

The post is partly a corporate review, so its claims should be read as Microsoft’s perspective. Still, it shows where major platform vendors think demand is going: from model access toward full-stack infrastructure for using AI safely inside organizations.
