Enterprise automation startup Ema has raised $77 million to expand software that coordinates AI agents across HR, IT and finance systems. Creaegis led the Series B, with Accel, Section 32 and Prosus also participating. The all-equity round brings Ema’s total funding to $140 million.
Rather than sell a single-purpose chatbot, Ema connects to a company’s existing applications and carries out multi-step workflows. It can draw from more than 150 frontier and open models, while supplying the integrations and company-specific knowledge needed to complete a process. Pricing is tied to tasks and business outcomes instead of user seats or model tokens.
The company reports more than 50 enterprise customers, one million active users and five million completed actions and queries. It says revenue has grown 50-fold in two years and bookings exceed $150 million, but that bookings total includes multiyear contracts and should not be read as annual recurring revenue. Ema did not disclose its latest valuation or current annualized revenue.
The new capital will primarily expand sales and marketing, including growth in Asia-Pacific, South America and parts of the Middle East. Ema’s claim that agents can eventually replace some software and consulting work remains an ambition; deployments currently begin by wrapping around the tools companies already use.
