Unity developers can now connect a game character directly to an ElevenLabs voice agent using the new ElevenAgents SDK. It listens through the player’s microphone, returns the agent’s speech through Unity audio and manages the session through ElevenLabs’ Conversation API.

The same integration runs in the Unity Editor, desktop builds and WebGL. Support for iOS, Android and extended-reality projects is in beta. Developers can attach speech to a character’s AudioSource for spatial sound, use output levels to animate a mouth, and pass variables such as a character’s mood into a shared agent configuration.

The SDK can also send silent context updates when something changes in the game. Registered client tools allow the agent to trigger approved game code, while events expose transcripts, interruptions and mode changes on Unity’s main thread.

A starter sample is available through Unity’s package manager. ElevenLabs warns developers not to ship an API key inside a game build: production projects should enable authentication and obtain short-lived signed URLs from their own server.
