Elastic has reportedly agreed to buy DeductiveAI, a CRV-backed startup focused on using AI to catch and resolve software bugs. TechCrunch says the deal could be worth up to $85 million.

The acquisition points to continued demand for AI systems that improve software reliability, not just code generation. Search, observability, and debugging platforms are all trying to add AI capabilities closer to production workflows.

DeductiveAI was founded three years ago, making the reported deal another sign that applied AI infrastructure startups can become acquisition targets quickly.
