AWS published a post on Deepgramās use of IAM temporary delegation for Amazon SageMaker AI support. The integration lets Deepgram handle support workflows for its speech models without requiring customers to hand over permanent credentials.
The security model matters because enterprise AI services often need support access to diagnose failures, but long-lived or overly broad permissions create risk. Temporary delegation gives support teams scoped access for a limited purpose and time, reducing friction while preserving customer control.
AWS says the change reduced initial investigation on a SageMaker AI support ticket from days to minutes. That is a vendor-reported result, but it illustrates a broader operational point: as AI services become embedded in production workflows, support mechanics and permission design can be as important as model accuracy.
