Cohere released Transcribe Arabic, an open-source model for Arabic speech recognition, The Decoder reports. The 2-billion-parameter model is available on Hugging Face under the Apache 2.0 license.
Cohere says the model performs well on dialects, code-switching, and bilingual Arabic-English speech, areas where transcription systems often struggle.
The release broadens open speech tooling for languages and dialects that are less well served by mainstream English-first ASR systems.
