Anthropic is merging Claude chat, Cowork and Artifacts into one interface that automatically routes requests instead of asking users to choose a separate tab for each kind of work. Claude Design, the company’s website and prototype tool, will also be available throughout the unified experience.
The update adds dedicated document and presentation workflows. Users can ask Claude to create, revise and present slides, then export them as PDF or PowerPoint files. The Docs feature supports section-by-section editing, questions and comments, while finished documents and presentations can be shared by link and edited from a phone. A task started on desktop can also be monitored through the mobile app.
Anthropic says customers were often unsure whether a request belonged in chat or Cowork, so the redesign makes the application choose the underlying workflow. That simplifies the front end but also gives users less visibility into which mode is handling a task unless the interface explains the routing clearly. The new experience is rolling out first to Pro and Max subscribers on the web, desktop and mobile over the coming weeks. Free and Team plans are due later, with no exact date given. The release follows an update to Cowork’s cross-chat memory.
