Claude Code users will receive permanently higher weekly limits on September 14, but their available capacity will fall compared with today. Anthropic plans to set limits for Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans 25% above the original baseline when a temporary 50% increase expires.
Moving from 150% of the old baseline to 125% works out to a reduction of about 17% from the capacity users currently receive. Anthropic’s official Claude account confirmed the schedule, making the practical effect different from the headline promise of a permanent increase.
The company says it is working on changes intended to give users more control and transparency over usage. It has not, in the reported announcement, detailed how those changes would offset the lower weekly allowance after September 14.
Anthropic has separately added performance improvements and an automatic feedback feature to Claude Code. When a failure occurs, the tool can prepare a bug report for the user to review and submit, with an option to include the session conversation log. Users can disable that feature in settings. For teams planning sustained agent workloads, the relevant comparison is the post-September allowance against current capacity, not against the older baseline.
