China is reportedly planning a roughly $295 billion AI data center network over five years, with at least 80 percent of the technology sourced from domestic suppliers.

That would create a major demand channel for Chinese chipmakers such as Huawei while reducing dependence on U.S. hardware.

The plan reflects how AI infrastructure is becoming a national industrial strategy issue, not only a cloud computing market.
