The Barcelona Supercomputing Center has opened selected AI Factory services to startups through Nvidia’s Inception portal. The connection gives eligible companies another route to sovereign computing resources, technical support, and training in Europe.
The center’s accelerator moved into full operation after a pilot. Nvidia says the BSC AI Factory has delivered more than 800 services to public- and private-sector clients since launching in April 2025. A planned extension of the MareNostrum 5 supercomputer is expected to add capacity for BSC and other European AI factories.
Pilot participants include Qatium, whose water-network software is used by more than 250 utilities in 16 countries; OneCareAI, which is developing tools to detect signs of hidden atrial fibrillation in apparently normal heart readings; and Avatia, which builds voice-based agents for pharmaceutical work.
Access through Inception supplements the center’s own accelerator rather than replacing it. Nvidia’s program also provides courses, business mentoring, and investor connections. The announcement expands access channels, but it does not specify how much compute each startup will receive or what the services will cost.
