AWS has released a sample Model Context Protocol server that promotes Amazon Quick agent resources from development to production accounts. The Quick Resource Migrator replaces a manual process in which teams recreate agents, connectors, knowledge bases, flows, spaces and permissions by hand.
The tool reads a selected resource by ID, name or type, then creates or updates its counterpart in the target account. Repeated runs are designed to converge on the same state rather than create duplicates. A preview shows planned changes, and each existing target is backed up to versioned S3 storage before an update; if the backup fails, the change is aborted.
Permissions are read from the source and replayed with target-account principals. Agent instructions, starter prompts and connector links are recreated. Secrets are deliberately not copied: connectors receive placeholder credentials and must be authenticated again. S3-backed knowledge bases get a target bucket and policy, but the documents themselves are not transferred.
The sample runs on Bedrock AgentCore with separate read-only source and limited target roles. It addresses configuration drift and auditability, but teams still need deployment approval, tests and secret-management procedures. Spaces also depend on their linked resources being migrated first so target identifiers can be resolved correctly.
