AWS says enterprise AI agents still lack enough business context and security, and it is launching two services to address those gaps. The move targets a common blocker for agent adoption: models can reason and call tools, but they often do not understand company-specific data, policies, and boundaries.

That matters because enterprise agents are only useful if they can act inside real workflows without creating unacceptable risk. Context, permissions, auditability, and secure integration are becoming as important as model capability.

The launch also shows cloud providers turning agent infrastructure into a platform layer, not just an add-on to model APIs.
