Firebird has launched a large AI computing facility in Armenia, positioning the country as a new regional hub for training and running artificial intelligence systems. NVIDIA describes the site as the largest AI factory in the CIS region, built with NVIDIA accelerated computing and Dell Technologies high-performance infrastructure.
AI factories are data centers designed around graphics processors and networking for model training, fine-tuning, and inference rather than ordinary enterprise workloads. The announcement says the Armenian deployment uses NVIDIA’s current AI platform and is intended to support cloud access for organizations that need heavy compute.
The practical consequence is regional capacity. Companies, researchers, and public-sector groups often depend on scarce GPU access concentrated in a few markets. A local cloud provider with modern accelerators can shorten procurement paths, though the source does not provide public pricing, capacity figures, or customer commitments. The important next test will be how much of the new infrastructure is broadly available rather than reserved for a small set of anchor users.
