Apple is reportedly preparing to introduce HomeView, a Siri-powered smart-home hub with a display and an A18 processor. According to Bloomberg reporting summarized by TechCrunch, the device is expected in two versions: one for a countertop and another designed for wall mounting.

HomeView would give people a dedicated screen for controlling connected home devices rather than relying on an iPhone, Apple TV or HomePod alone. The launch would represent Apple’s most direct attempt to build a central home interface after HomeKit and the HomePod gained less traction than the company’s phones and computers.

The report says Apple will also refresh the Apple TV set-top box and HomePod mini. A planned partnership with LG would extend the ecosystem to a smart lock, thermostat and doorbell, although product availability and compatibility details have not yet been confirmed publicly.

The information is a pre-announcement report, not a completed launch. The expected unveiling is scheduled for Tuesday, so pricing, regions, supported accessories and privacy behavior remain open questions. Those details will determine whether HomeView is mainly a convenient controller for existing Apple households or a broader challenge to established smart-home displays from Amazon and Google.
