Apple’s camera chief is making the case that AI can expand what iPhone photography does, not only make photos cleaner or more realistic.
That matters because phone cameras are already computational systems. The next competition is likely to be over how much AI should interpret, enhance, or transform a scene while still feeling trustworthy to users.
The bigger product question is where Apple draws the line between helpful creative tools and images that feel too synthetic.
