Anthropic analyzed 1.2 million Claude Cowork sessions from more than 600,000 organizations, according to The Decoder. The company found that about half of usage centers on business processes and text creation.
That is significant because it suggests workplace AI adoption may be driven less by spectacular autonomous tasks and more by routine administrative work. Drafting, summarizing, organizing, and process support can still add up to meaningful productivity gains.
The finding also helps explain why enterprise AI tools are increasingly packaged around everyday workflows rather than only technical or creative use cases.
