Former US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo has launched Raise Us, a bipartisan nonprofit aimed at preparing American workers for AI-driven job shifts. Amazon, Anthropic, Microsoft, and the OpenAI Foundation are funding the effort.

The initiative reflects a growing acknowledgment that AI adoption could reshape jobs faster than traditional training systems can respond. Funding from leading AI companies could bring resources and urgency.

It also creates a governance question: the companies most likely to benefit from automation are helping define the response to its labor-market effects.
